Poetry Contest - Love Poetry - Romantic Poetry

Birthing Moon

rain-heavy sky
I feel another contraction
coming on

moonlight
through the blinds
she crowns

fireplace blazing
another Scorpio
is born

lunar eclipse
soft cooing
from our newborn

turning the clock back
her tiny fingers
tiny toes

full moon
the absence of
my big round belly

starry night
I realize a mother
was born too
